When Same-Sex Marriage Was a Christian Rite

Story is at 13.000 words and growing :) *writes along*

Hmm, the ASCEM fic challenge got, if I could only wrap my mind about writing (or art) :/

Re-read the first three HP books in my vacation. No 4 is waiting next to me :)

Energy level definitely re-charged. Hope to get lots of things done for customer#1 over the course of the next weeks. Also intend to finally start with my English advanced studies.

Should wash a mega pile of clothes. But too lazy for now.

When we came home last night, it was clear that my mother-in-law had not looked after the mail (not important) or the birds (very important). Turned out she mixed up the dates and thought we'd drive this weekend. Good thing the birds survived the ordeal unharmed...

Oh, and LJ? YOU SUCK. Next May, no renewed paid account for you even though I will cry over all my many lost iconses then.

Icon chosen in pre-joy of the upcoming Heroes episode. I also heard that there's a micro-series planned during the official hiatus...?

The chimney sweeper was already here this morning, and he needed to go and look after the chimney...which ends in our dungeon. Uh-oh. Thankfully(!?) the dungeon is currently looking like a Geruempelkammer (junk chamber, but the German word is so much more impressive here) so I doubt that he recognized the weird things that were lying all around.

.oOAnd I know the guy who's going to clear that Geruempel away soon!

Sold some things on amazon marketplace, but I fear the money will go right into other fannish acquisitions *palms face*

My to-do list is a meter long but I can only leave the house after the likely arrival of parcels (they better come soon or we'll kick some folks' asses).

This was a rather successful but also long day. The workshop was fine, I learned some new, helpful things about Framemaker (esp. importing templates). Had a talk with the boss of the techwriter company and we'll probably meet one of his customers next Friday, who wants to outsource his online help - and it might end on my table :) *knocks on wood*

On the fanfic front: inspired by a Story Aid reading, my muses turned to Spock/Sulu, of all pairings *sigh* Maybe I should just write my idea down to get rid of it.

Then I found that I can't write K/S with dominant Spock slant at the moment. My Spock just doesn't want to be dominant. I've got to re-read some stories...or feel free to give me some inspiration in the comments. I would really appreciate it.

P.S. I'm very delayed with reading&feedbacking other people's stories. Will take care of that later, hopefully.

- Nervy customer wanted me to work on a document that was already urgent and important the last time I was there - at January 4th! And guess what - there's only marginally more information now *rolls eyes*

- Lots of work on my desk. Now, if this would lead to lots of money on my accounts, that would be fine...

- Thought about the K/S/Mc story and will once again change a bigger momentum. Drawback of writing the prequel in a series: always take into account what you wrote already.

- I can't watch CSI with Gary Genese anymore without comparing him to McCoy (and he would be really fine, I hope this rumor becomes true :)

And last not least: slighly kinky NWSF female nude )

The K/S/Mc sequel is at 9200 words and developing well. The sex is only sketched out so far, but since it's all in my mind, I don't mind. The emotions afterwards are so much more interesting.
The prequel however took an unexpected turn today, as I decided to change the emotional as well as the time frame. Wrote 1000 new words but will likely dump major parts of the other 7000, as they don't fit anymore.

Framemaker behaved well and deleted all extra pages I wanted to delete. It's a miracle. Now working on some content. The bird cage is cleaned and the garbage can outside. Think I'll phone the delivery service now to get some food :)

- Nobody called. What's new ;)?

- But when I sleep only half the night, my tiredness keeps me from feeling depressed (I seem to need a certain kind of brain energy for that).

- They had coconut pieces at the big shopping center, wheee!

- I bought a book with Newton photographs, so stay tuned for more women soon :)

- Still thinking about with which characters I might identify, and No#1 that came to my mind is Riker from TNG. Great potential, charming, good job, but always second-in-command with no real wish to grow and finally sent to a station where he can't do much harm (in the novel "Imzadi").

(Now that's a big decline from the scientist hero of my youth, Spock *coughs*)

More might follow. Oh, btw, I usually don't identify with all those kinky bitches in movies. I'm no femme fatale or "classic" dominatrix. In a pure femdom meeting I usually feel not qualified. I prefer to have a very mixed, queer, pansexual group around me with an anything-goes atmosphere.

Suggestions welcome re with which characters you identify me ;)

mixed box.

- The talk with the potential customer went quite well, interesting project with lots of text streamlining and translation (D>E), but we'll have two test runs as a start.

- I fight Framemaker (or the program fights me) - so far I think it wins :/ Goal for tonight: beta-finishing a little manual in DIN A6 format *rubs eyes*

- The S&M movie arrived but in a format my computer didn't recognize right away, and I had no time yet to check it out.

- Care Paket from my mother arrived with "Scherben" (a south-west Germany carneval deep-fried pastry). Yumm!

Cool German ZEIT article ueber einen Kreuzigungsforscher.

Made a little graphic for my business which I can mail to some (ex-)customers for Christmas now (and as a handy reminder that I'm still available to work for them ;)

I also watched "The Cell" on DVD, which has great (possibly disturbing but still hot) images and definitely asks for being songvidded, but I have no fitting song in mind. Therefore, it's put into the eternal pipeline of ideas.

And since it's already the 20th of Dec *gasp* my second story and a manip (about which I totally forgot) can be found in the KS Calendar. Check it out for a sexy Kirk :)

Made a little slash photomanip for Watergal - Kirk/Spock or something like that ;) )

In reallife news, had to say "no" to a very interesting project, but I can't semi-force my customer to allow homeoffice just to take on other projects and skip his. What a pity.

And a pity that the weather is cloudy again, but we had a fabulous weekend - sunny all day and warm enough to sit outside all the nights.

Went up at 8 this morning to collect fallen apples in our garden, sigh. It's becoming a real problem, as the apple quality is low (they are really just garbage with a lot of work) but the tree has more apples than ever. We're going on vacation in a week, so my poor mother-in-law, who also takes care of the birds, will have to deal with them (and she has back problems).

Ah well. other than that, it's a good, albeit warm day. We'll hit the road later very soon for meeting people in Cologne for business and barbecue.

And something gacked from [ profile] odogoddess
You Are An Ash Tree

You are vivacious and impulsive, which makes you extremely attractive to many.
Intelligent and demanding, you don't care much for criticism.
You have a ton of ambition and talent, and sometimes money rules your heart.
You like to play with fate, and you can be very egotistical and restless.
Demanding of attention, you need love and a lot of emotional support.

Gacked from [ profile] tboy:Discussion about "Top five homoerotic subtext films" and linked from there:

Action Guide of 80s Movies ;) and the question how homoerotic they are (or not)

Totally unconnected to that all: Shrek and the donky, kinky version ;)

P.S. The new fridge is ordered, paid, and will hopefully be delivered this week (Friday or Saturday) :))

Another edit: Wrote a job application! *woozah* Not sure I want it, but, hey, there's no harm in trying ;)

Ergänzung: Und für die deutschsprachige Leserschaft - der etwas andere Sklavenvertrag *ggg*

We came back yesterday and were tired. We worked today and are even more tired.

Participated in the THFF anniversary chat last night, which was big fun. The family weekend was acceptable too. Am too tired to write a lot (and have got an S/Mc story in mind I should really write down instead of hanging around and simply melting at 27°C).

P.S. I'm so thankful for S/Mc writers. Just have to say that. They are keeping me sane, on the long run.

We're having a little discussion about a K/S/Mc story here - join in if you feel like :)

The weather is fine therefore I have hayfever, and most things on the schedule are done. My husband is in geek mode and tries to get the Panel PC run with some Linux, which is cute. I'm crossing my fingers for him.

Had a closer look at the animation book, and it's breath-taking, handling all aspects of MOVING figures (walking, running, anticipation, action, reaction...) in very detailed drawings and descriptions. happy animation ramblings :) )

I must be mad to even think of doing this. But it's fun, it's for obsessive people and I could surely spend months on it...something for my next work dryspell or retirement or something. The combination of drawing AND plotting AND animating is very enchanting. But I think I'll start more with something like South Park, which is based on the design of cutted paper figures ;)

Lovely review of The Ultimate K/Mc Computer TOS episode by [ profile] cruisedirector.

Ordered some trek items from Ebay *guilty pleasures* Also received an exemplar of The Animator's Survival Kit, but didn't yet have time to read through it :)

The standard reminder: Don't forget to vote in the ASCEML GO! DS9, ENT and MIS ends at June 13th.

This day was on the good side of okay. Worked my hours and the car ride was fine. Despite a slight money panic I acquired a cool HP 4600 scanner that you can put on things (instead of putting things into it), and comes with a software for scanning oversized material. It was damn hard to find, and my husband bought probably the second-to-last in the whole city.

Oooh, and I received two DVDs today: the Shatner, Nimoy, Kelley appearance at the 30th anniversary of Startrek (wonderful! - but I didn't manage to watch it fully yet), and one appearance of De, Chicago 1991. Something to look forward over the next days *bouncy* :)

House was all right tonight, while my husband insisted on NOT being subjected to the L Word ;) Which is okay by me...

Cold is down to survivable level. And I'm home *squee* even though it's a short weekend because I need to work as many days in December as possible (which will 16, if I'm lucky). From Dec 19 to Jan 8, there will be incomeless freelancer's holiday. Not sure what work I will have in January 2006. But I try not to get nervous. Nononono.

Had wonderful pics in the snailmail, two K/S/Mc photos (well, my reading). Will publish them later. And another parcel is waiting for me at the post station, not sure what it is...I did some ebay shopping lately *coughs*

Don't know if any people here vid besides me, but I want to pimp this Vidder Friending Meme.

Then I want to pimp Spiced Peaches III, the Spock/McCoy ezine.

Anything forgotten? Ah, Mary's vids. If you want some, drop me a mail at a.q @ and you'll get the information you need.

Coming soon: Shopping with hubby *squeeeee* :)))
