Really...

I'm about to start working but for that, this computer needs to install various updates *palms face*waits*

So I had ample time to watch this TOS Kirk Womanizer vid. And I've got to say - I ended up being the only person voting "I see Shatner when I write Reboot Kirk" in my poll lately and I stick to it. I'm hoping for the manips to change my mind a bit but Shatner has (sorry) threedozenlevelsmoreofmanlyandhot for me than Pine has (who's gorgeous on his own rights but he's somehow a kid and not a man yet to me).

This might change after the next movie, but right now...eh. No. Especially not when writing my Draws 'verse where Kirk's been captain for years. I like my men to be grown-up men in my fic even though I love to read academy fic with young!Reboot!Kirk aka frat!Pine.

Yep, this. Reboot!Kirk is such a kid, I can't imagine middle-aged Shatner in the same position. Reboot!Kirk is too cocky, too unthinking, too confident without cause. It's that stereotypical "teenagers think they're immortal" attitude! :D

Yeah! Someone complained about Kirk being written like a frat boy in the novelization, but part of the problem is, he behaves like a teenager in the movie. Not like 25, really - only at the end, but it will need another movie to make him more of a man.
