Cannot FATHOM why there isn't more McCoy love. Kirk/Spock is just so...boring and missing something SO essential to their dynamic. Without McCoy it is just dull.
Even the one K/S I read that I actually liked 'Deep Elam Blues' because it had so much H/C and torture and finally freedom - I cannot understand why in the universe McCoy and the rest of the crew wouldn't have rescued them somehow or died trying AND especially why they wouldn't go to McCoy for help - they BOTH had serious medical issues and of course they could trust him. I know there's a sequel, but McCoy plays a small OOC part and I don't like it so it stand alone as the one K/S I like...while wishing desperately for McCoy to show up and fix their hurts.
