DAZ!Studio

It's 0355 in Germany in the middle of the night, and since I haven't installed something new to play with in a while, I thought it's a good time to start now ;)

DAZ Studio is something similar to Poser, but for free. As the DAZ company usually provides Poser content, all DAZ content is fully compatible with Poser.

They also offer something for free every week, so I got a male model too *G*

I actually don't want to go into 3D modeling, but I saw a drawing today by someone who used a Poser pic as base, so I felt compelled to give it a try. (My experience, even with thousands of pics with sexy guys is that you never have quite the angle you need for the manip, tsk.)

Well, I think this hobby can become a bit expensive as you need various extension packs to make really good pics. So for manips, they are probably not worth the hassle.

But if you hassle, I'm looking forward to the results! :)

Heheh. I'll still keep collecting Spockish pics for manips, but I'll probably use the 3D program more as a drawing guide. At the moment I've been having some fun drawing vector-style graphics in Photoshop and I think DAZ could be helpful as a base for that. :-)

I must say, though, that photomanipping is REALLY addictive. *g*
