State of our house

Watching House fits to a house posting...remember that my parents very likely come this weekend? Here the current state of the house:
- Kitchen 95% - yay!
- Ground level corridor 80% - some things to put away. We also wait for the delivery of a new cabinet, but I guess Murphy will happen and it will arrive next week...
- Office - my side and birds 90%, husband's side probably 80% (he's working on it right now :)
- Upper level corridor 95% - the K/Mc and K/S drawings will remain on the wall!
- Living room 85% - need to move some S&M stuff out and hide the mildew
- Bedroom 95% - need to move some very minor S&M stuff out
- Bathrooms 95% - cleaned, last polishing will be done on Friday
- Wardrobe room 50% - rather hopeless case
Other hopeless areas: basement corridor (big pile of stuff I won't touch), room with washing machine (which has a door to the garden).
Absolute no-go-areas: dungeon (will get locked); other basement rooms (bleh).
It was a good challenge in the way that we (mostly I) tackled some corners that badly needed to get cleaned for years. But, dang, I hope they don't come here more often. (What did I hear about SUMMER?!)

Date: 2007-02-14 04:21 pm (UTC)I always have to clean up the mess I create during the day. My mom HATES it when she gets home and everything's "messy". *lol*
If I lived somewhere else and she'd come over to visit me... OMG. I guess she wouldn't even come in. She keeps telling me that "I won't come over and clean up your mess then!" (She still likes to clean up my room, and I REALLY don't like that... meh... she could just close the damn door so that she doesn't have to look at "this mess inside"! *lol*)
I really envy you that you've cleaned up (almost) everything... I'm soooo lazy when it comes to things like that!
