Anton Yelchin is confirmed as Checkov for the new movie, in addition to the already confirmed Zach Quinto:

I predict a boost of Spock/Checkov fanfic from the second generation trek fans, just for the OMG SEXY BOYS factor. Quinto already has a large fanbase - if they don't screw up the movie completely, this may well boost the whole franchise again...*is hopeful for once*

...Shatner was right when he complained that Nimoy plays a part in the new movie, but he doesn't (yet)? Oi. Oi.
