THE ULTIMATE KIRK-SEX POLL

Because I really like to know...please answer and feel free to link in your journal *G* :)

[Poll #903456]

I assume that sex happened during the commercial break and that we didn't get to see it.

There is one episode in particular, can't remember if it was that insane lady who was trying to kill Kirk because his toupee offended her artistic sensibilities in the Shakespear episode, or another episode where we see Kirk and a lady in his quarters before the commercial break and then see them again after, with him on the bed, one leg on the floor. Sex definitely happened there.

[identity profile] syredronning.livejournal.com 2007-01-09 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
That's not in the Shakespear one, but in "Wink of an Eye". Yeah, sex is extremely likely in this one, but he's kind of forced *G* So for some, it's not really sex :)

I like him a lot, but not as much as [insert fav char]

For me, that would be Spock...always has been my favorite, always will be.

I assumed that much :))

I really don't like Kirk much - I find him annoying. And...I voted he's hetero. ;) For the most part I don't buy Kirk in slash as I just can't see him letting go of his oh-so-hetero/hero persona that he loves so much. And if he did - just for a brief moment in an unusual circumstance which slashers love to give him - I also see that as being a momentary lapse for him and he'd end up dumping Spock/McCoy/whomever the moment things return to normal. He'd give them the usual excuses: the ship comes first, Starfleet regulations, career comes first, not meant to be with someone, etc. If he is homosexual - he's a REALLY closeted one.

Just my humble opinion, though...it's why I don't much like K/Mc or K/S, though truly excellent authors can get me to suspend disbelief for a little while. ;) Or...now that I think of it - Mirror!Kirk. I see him as pansexual, but then I see all the Mirror!characters that way. I blame it on all the slash fanfic I've read.

No problem with your belief, although I don't share it *G*

Mirror Kirk is fun - which reminds me I didn't write anything today so far!

Kirk always strikes me as the sort of man who is pretty focused on the job (for the most part) and got his kicks however the mood stuck him off of it. He doesn't strike me as a terribly monogamous (unless you are talking about Enterprise) but I am sure he was always up for some sex here and there.

Now Dr. McCoy and Spock are a different thing altogether....

Yeah, I also see him as not being very monogamous. However, with Spock in the mix everyone ends up more or less monogamous, somehow. All that bonding stuff--- :)

[identity profile] wha-hoppened.livejournal.com 2007-01-09 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
probably you are right. Maybe he and Spock and Dr. McCoy all have an understanding... ;)

[identity profile] syredronning.livejournal.com 2007-01-09 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
My preferred explanation!

[identity profile] syredronning.livejournal.com 2007-01-09 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
He, and I was wondering about the empty comment *G* Love that icon *G*

Wondering now - is there such a story out there?

[identity profile] watergal.livejournal.com 2007-01-10 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
incomplete

but oddly enough, on the way home from work I was contemplating the ethics of mailing you something else unsolicited: mother/son incest. *blush*

[identity profile] syredronning.livejournal.com 2007-01-10 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, one of mrs_spock's gorgous icons :))

Incomplete? Can I bribe your muses?!

And het incest sounds unusual but I can give it a try :) *g* Send along if you want.

I'm not the biggest Kirk fan; I watched TOS for Spock and McCoy. My own kink. :)

[identity profile] syredronning.livejournal.com 2007-01-10 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Totally okay*G*

[identity profile] titc.livejournal.com 2007-01-10 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooops! Forgot to answer that one.
I like Kirk now that I'm older - I watch him swagger with a smile, watch him bluff his way around
I used to be a great Spock fan as a child, but now I've grown fond of the whole team.
I think some of the people who aggressively assert Kirk's heterosexuality do so for fear of TEH GAY, or because they want to insult him and they want to portray him as a slut. Hey, look at that silly show with cheesy sets, corny plots and shagger Shatner! It's not, like, serious, right?

As for Kirk & his manbits... I guess I hope that in a few centures we won't be as prejudiced, and that consenting adults will be at liberty to do what they damn please ;-)
And I really don't think he got vey far with most of the women on the show. Ogle, yes, flirt, yes (and sometimes not without hoping to get something not sex-related out of it), but that's it for most.

When I was younger, I was foremost a Spock lover (besides being a big general trekkie), but Kirk and McCoy grew on me over the last four years, which led to my threesome preference *G*

As for the rest - I'm not going to enter a discussion which I very obviously avoided *g*
