In the first one, William Shatner has dark brown eyes.

In the second one, he looks like he's aged about six months from 1982, but Leonard Nimoy looks like he's aged about 30 years. I suspect the pictures in the first magazine were heavily airbrushed, but the contrast is somewhat surprising.

What does "start ins nachste Jahrhundert" mean? (With the umlaut over the "a" which I don't know how to create on my keyboard.)

Yeah, the age differences (or their appearance) are bigger IMO than the real movie distances.
