I bet that not every Vulcan was supportive to her - in my mind, the IDIC foundation is as much to make sure that e.g. surviving children would be supported as about to keep the Vulcans from retracting from the rest of the universe and turning more xenophobic than they already often were.

Vulcans need more help than in the past, and that would make many of them resentful - OTOH it's also a great chance for connecting and working together, forming a deeper alliance with the other worlds.
