A gen(!) rec - the "This So Called Chaos" series by jedibuttercup, beautiful fics with Pike&Kirk and Kirk&McCoy interaction, a talk to Winona, Gary showing up... many TOS situations revisited. The series is just marvelous IMHO, and some of it will be added to my personal Reboot canon.

(I also find that I'm really lacking in the pre-TOS Kirk department - I wrote so much TOS movieverse that the Farragut and Tarsus somehow never ended on my personal writing list. Hmmm.)

There's a new installment to the wonderful MU series "Brightness Burns" by graceandfire:

Posession is the story in which MU Kirk and MU McCoy get together (kind of *G*) and it's just as gorgeous as the rest of the series. The series is superb on being psychologically dub/non-con without being gory, so don't hesitate to give it a try even if you're not much into kink!

I also just had a look at the mccoy_chapel comm and yum, this header is lovely! She's the actress who played the sister of Reaper in Doom. Very inspiring! (And her name is Rosamund Pike *palms face* which gives me all kinds of weird thoughts now!) I even added two McCoy/Chapel icons to my collection now.

I do read McCoy het (even wrote some, though barely Chapel, as in TOS, she's rather burned for me as a characters), and maybe I'd write some in the future. This is really, eh...hot and inspiring :P

Preamble: I hate fashion. I hate shoes, belts, scarves, makeup and fancy bags. The only well-dressed person with taste in this household is my husband (cue to his vast collection of shoes from various angles).

Nevertheless, the City! Series - a fashion AU sucked me in like mad. Kirk as fashion zine editor, Bones as his top photographer, Spock and Uhura as fashion team, Chekov as model... and Joanna as a cute girl living with McCoy and teaming up with Jim all the time. So lovely and funny and yum. Even if the idea of a fashion AU makes you want to run - give it a try. It's worth it!

And then I'd like to rec The Size of his Dream (McCoy, Pike) - a missing scene with the talk between Pike and McCoy that ends with McCoy signing up for Starfleet. Lovely character studies that might make it into my personal Reboot canon.
