Re-reading the pro-novel "Pandora's Principle" for research makes me rethink some large plot elements. Please, muses, I want this story to settle down! *grumbles*

And on the trek movie front, Nimoy himself has written a tiny blog entry!

Woah. I have a real backup of my hard drive for once! (Usually, I only save certain folders.)

I also have a to-do-list which has mostly to do with going out and doing things, but it's raining and storming. And now even thunder! *brrrr* End-of-the-world weather.

My story does finally seem to cristallize. Reading the book "Shake hands with the devil" about a real civil war and thinking about the politics on a tiny invented moon makes me realize fully the difference between reality and fiction. In rl, there are so many people involved in decisions (if they make decisions at all, and don't simply 'wait and see' or aren't forced into a certain direction by others). But in fiction, you need to cut that number (and the whole complexity) down and end with relatively few things. It's necessary, or your readers/viewers won't be happy it all. The art is to have the remaining characters and plot points bring along all that needs to be said and shown to make people understand the importance of certain acts.

Husband on his way to another day's work in Berlin. And yeah, beaming would be cool...
