Very misc.

My day was okay. Hayfever could have been worse, and to have a delay of only 45 min due to about 40 km of stop-and-go on the road is probably a good ratio ;)

On Saturday, I once again did some nailart on my husband's feet, this time completely painted with acrylics. The paints come in nice colors and are ODORLESS. Very much healthier for me. Are there any statistics how many women have a damaged liver due to nail polish and remover fluids?

And on a completely random but persistent thought - why are Spock's "daughters" preferably lesbian? Not only did lbts and others write Saavik/Valeris fic, but Farfalla and Djinn independently of each other paired Saavik with T'Prings daughter. In my own fiction, I married Saavik to Spock, but their daughter is a lesbian (and had a strange ONS with Valeris on Romulus).

So...why do some people obviously feel the same vibes here? Is it, with the K/S lingering in the background, more within our expectation that the daughter of a queer person might be queer too (because she might face earlier the realisation that people don't all come in the het mold)? develop an early awareness of gender and sex that will encourage her to explore her own sexuality more openly than it is probably the case for the offspring of a traditional family? (Edited because my first way to write it obviously caused unexpected irritations :)

*skimming through Beyond Dreams zines*

I mostly own them for the art. But while Shelley's always looks good, she has such a fine technique that only in the original you can really cherish it *walks to her K/Mc picture*drools a little*

And I'm not the only one who does too small a head occasionally. In fact, in many pictures their faces are not 100% perfect. *relaxes a bit* Damn perfectionism.

P.S. More good things today: we got rid of the garbage, and I received Minette Walters' "The Sculptress" as audio CD. Ha! Only drawback today: hay fever. Buuuh :)

Although I went to bed at 0320, I was already awake at 0830.

So I cleaned the aviary and the kitchen, sorted papers, prepared letters, made a date with the car repair station for Friday, phoned with the project agency of micro-project#3, cooked coffee and prepared a bowl of fresh huckleberry curd. Now waiting for a "care package" from my parents with special sweets.

The world is good.

Re my drawing, I think I'll start a second attempt with the guys enlarged. I do have the time today. Ah, I need such days once in a while.

Phone call of mother-in-law when you just got out of bed is...uhm.

*yawns* Damn unlucky the neighbourhood kids have started to play in front of our house lately. I'd really like to kick their ass and send them elsewhere, but I'm too nice.

*wanders off towards ToDos*

Ooookay.

This was a week of hell, somehow. First I struggled with a unusually long menstruation, which sucked my energy, then I was topped by traffic (and the road works that causes it will last until May 12th). New record today, 4 hours for 135 km. The A1 was the biggest parking lot in Germany today.

Good news - the company from the micro-project will give me more micro-projects and it looks like it might become a long-term arrangement. Will cause big busy-ness at times, but it's worth it.

My wonderful husband did the garden, woohoo! And I managed to read at least the personal lj stuff. Other than that, no fannish activities except for useless, slightly depressed ponderings why my writing muses died rather suddenly at the beginning of 2004 and why I seem unable to fix it.

Coming tomorrow: a wedding party of an ex-colleague of my husband (though I'm beginning to suspect we won't go after all...)

Friday morning - just one more day of work for the week, and then weekend.

My mail accounts get spammed like hell these days, so that the filtered one seems to bow under the load *grumbles*

It's sunny and warm here. And it feels like hay fever's creeping in early this year.

Only the audio pieces 46-61 left of "Pride and Prejudice". Not sure what will be next, as things like "Emma" or "Wuthering Heights" aren't yet available for download *crossing my fingers for quick readers*

Biggest sin over the last two days - instead of reading new fanfic, I re-read the Under the Sun series, at least parts 1-4 and probably the last one over the weekend (for damn hot Sa/Mc sex). You want literature? Go to librivox.org ;)

Good weekend, all in all. We went to see some other folks yesterday together with Libra, and she slept over at our house. Then we had brunch in the city and, since it was shopping sunday here (unusual!), we also hit some stores and I bought three cool t-shirts :) Finally, we had ice cream before she drove home again.

Also managed to reduce my todo list and plan on doing some more things while [livejournal.com profile] wuffelchen takes a hot bath. Coming later: nail art *G*

Just like it started, so it went along.

- Finished the first major part of the micro project.

- Got a last-minute-place in a telephone acquisition workshop for this Saturday and Sunday in Hamburg, for a super-cheap price! (Only drawback - I have to get up rather early.)

- Received the contract with docu company #1 in the snailmail. (Though it's more a general partner contract and doesn't specify the project it's currently about. Hmmm.)

- Received a project offer at 1900(!on a Friday!) and decided it's too much for my brain right now. Will handle this on Monday.

- There is a possibility that the car was on comprehensive cover because my husband's company might have an travel insurance for its employees - which would pay our car! We'll learn more on Monday when the office manager is back. *crossing fingers*

Life is good tonight.
syredronning: (Default)
- wrote two business mails
- had two phone calls about the car (we ponder to pay the repair now)
- wrote two ebay messages (I bought a WONDERFUL trek collector item and want to get it insured for the transport :))

And there is SUN again!

This morning - +++++!

Ha.

- Delivered a first little bit of the micro project to a happy customer.
- Talked to docu company#2 about the open project offer and thought hard about how I could manage two bigger projects at the same time.
- Authorized a collection company to get the missing money from the a*h* company.
- Sorted some papers.
- Had some fresh air in the SUN. SUN. SUN.
- Ate hubby's chinese food leftovers.

Now, if I'd find the car papers (missing for weeks now, and I have no frelling idea where they might be) and the extra ear piece for my cell phone...*wrecks brain*

P.S. I love my mood icons!

Random.

- My aerobic stepper arrived. Therefore, went and bought sports shoes today and had a little workout :) It was fun, and my left knee didn't complain anymore.

- Potential customer mailed. Woah. And I'm going to see another potential customer tomorrow.

- Ebay selling is hard work. Especially people who buy an article and then ask for delivery, although you wrote "personal pickup only".

- There was much sun today :)

- I can use the whip in our living room if I stand close to the window and try to hit the couch. Fatalities: The white wall now has some grey stripes. Uhm...

Woah.

Considering that I don't have a real project yet, I was damn busy today and put up 59 articles for a friend at Ebay. Even with the turbo lister, this is hard work. Let's hope that my 30% interest will be worth the work in the end. (EDIT: The two most expensive pieces just sold *big smile* which probably means they were too cheap, but what the heck - the stuff needs to get out!)

I also sent a very official reminder by snailmail to my fucking project agency.

Stuff to fix: We didn't yet have a look at the fax problems, but it might have to do with the new DSL connection. Likewise, the supposedly very brief disconnect 1x/24 h is a longer disconnect 1x/20 hours (??), and we need to have a closer look at that too.

P.S. I LOVE my mood theme! *adores this mood icon immensely***

P.P.S. Brokeback Mountain starts this week, but I doubt we make it to the cinema before next week.

Uh.

The weather is dull and there is light snowing. Nobody phoned with any good news re work. My banking accounts are low.

It's definitely time to try some mood enhancers.

I wish I had some Errol Flynn and Gene Kelly movies on DVD.

*goes off to fake busy-ness*

*drools over Aragorn*

*feels the need to read some Aragorn/Legolas*

Todo List: 7 out of 16 done.

And the birds have new "Kolbenhirse" (millet on a panicle?) which they love and accordingly have interesting disputes about *G*

I guess I'm the last one to link it, but this Brokeback Mountain Song Vid is very good and fetching. The movie starts in March here, hope we'll make it. (We already missed "Narnia" on big screen, as we were somehow caught up in rl.)

Still have my big todo list, but did some other things. For example, we put Schnaeppchen into the aviary. All seem to be fine with the new arrangement :)

And please, can just one company phone me and give me a nice little project in the north? *gets fidgety*

*goes to the office with LOTR III on DVD*
syredronning: (Default)
I'm not sure if it should make me more nervous that I
a) didn't feel like posting in lj at all or
b) skimmed some trek newsgroups and felt like they are out of my world or
c) skimmed across a K/S slave story and closed the window because of indifference.

Uh.

If this unfannish phase keeps on, I may not go to UK after all.

Though OTOH, I spent some time thinking of K/Mc/(S) sex post-ST V (Valentine challenge stuff) today. So maybe there is hope...if I can summon up the energy to write again.

Anyway, we've been to Berlin today with my mother-in-law to visit my husband's brother, his wife and their newborn. Very small, very work-intensive :) But cute, too. And we carried all the paper waste out of the house tonight - let's hope the garbage collection won't get impeded by any strike.

Coming tomorrow: incredibly long rl to do list. And the new birdie will go into the refurbished aviary to meet the others. This will surely be fun :)
