Very amusing Slating of the movie "The Happening":

So rather than write a conventional review explaining why you should or shouldn't see The Happening (trust me, you shouldn't), I'm offering an alternative: A dozen and a half of the most mind-bendingly ridiculous elements of the film, which will enable you to marvel at its anti-genius without sacrificing (and I don't use that term lightly) 90 minutes of your life...

Also, I'm happy and sad all in one because two people asked me in mail tonight if I'd be at Shoreleave Convention, and I had to say: sorry, no - one trip to the US per year is the max...

P.S. Does anyone know why in the EM, there's NO game for the third place?! Just found out that it's simply a fact that there's no game for third place, in contrast to the WM.

Heh. The Happening really is as bad as the review says. Believe it or not, I watched that film during the Germany - Portugal match and it was so boring and predictable, it would have been more entertaining for me to sleep. :P
During the Germany - Turkey match, I went to see Freischwimmer and that was a much better choice as it had actual suspense and an ending that I did not expect. :-)

Oh, it's nice to hear that one is being missed, isn't it? I think it must be great to be able to meet your online friends and put faces to the usernames(I haven't met any but one of mine but it's like that with meeting penfriends, too)and it makes the online conversations more... real somehow afterwards but on the other hand, how sad to know that you can't join the fun this time! Will you be able to go to Shore Leave next year?

I doubt it - KiScon rates higher in my personal voting, so I'd rather attend that con than Shoreleave. Unless lots of money find their way into my purse, I can only attend one *sniff*

Yes, it's great to know the people face to face. Some of them have become wonderful friends :))))

KiScon will be next year, too? I thought it was every other year! I must have missed some announcement, then.

Nothing official, just the slight possibility it might take place autumn next year...
