...but the weekend was great and the new fic is great and I wish I had another week of vacation *whine* :)

Oh my goodness! That second story is... wow. Just wow. Thanks for the rec, I'm sure I would have missed it otherwise!

I still can't get over how weird it is to see "everyone" on LJ talking about ST, seeing so many people write Trekfic and have Trekfandom be such a hub of activity instead of being a tiny niche. Great times! But I need some time to adjust to it. ;-)

And I agree, it's a bit strange to have a brand new - rather old fandom, but I love it :)))
