Also, I'm in need of inspiration. I have a problem seeing K/S/Mc in the new universe. I'll take links to good fic and ideas just why and how they might get together.

and additional feedback for it, though you may not consider it as lovely. I've only managed to read your Tarot Suite once. It was brutal, harsh, vivid, and, on occasion, images from it still haunt me. It was so realistic that I could picture it truly happening, so well written I almost lived through it all with the characters and THAT is why I will never be able to read it again. It was so good, so well done, and so very brutal in its realism that I will never be able to read it again, regardless of how good it is. In my opinion, it is the best work you've put out so far and I thank you for writing it, for it has the power to effect me even now, years after I last read it. Well done. And I hope you have a great day.

I love your feedback because I put an awful lot of research into the Tarot Suite and have heard from several people that my handling of post traumatic stress and all was spot on. I wanted the series to be as real and impacting as I could and I obviously met this goal. I understand that you won't want to face it again - I couldn't watch Lawrence of Arabia for two decades because it had impacted me too much.

And yeah, it's my best work and I wrote it in my very first online fandom year and since then I strive to get back to that level and don't reach it :/ I feel with all one-hit authors out there...

Just K/S/Mc? I'm having a problem with half of the pairings writing for the new trek.

My first is always Kirk/McCoy but sometimes my second was Spock/McCoy and I see nothing in this one. Kirk/Uhura, what? seriously? Chekov/Sulu, I get there are at the bottom so they got to get together but in reality barely minimum exchange. Poor Scotty didn't have enough time with anybody beside Kirk, and the sidekick which I'm not "going there". So the trio is out for now until the next movie because we are relying on too much based on the first.

But of course we can just enjoy the pairing for what they are.

I'm not having a PROBLEM really with pairings or that they are written, it's only that a part of me wants to write K/S/Mc and cannot *sigh*

Spock/McCoy, hm, I think SpockPrime and new McCoy could make for a very interesting fic. I'm not beyond mangling TOS and AOS together :)

Scotty gets more shipping right now than in a long time, so I'm not complaining although he doesn't do much for me. Checkov/Sulu is just a classic.

I wish we had 10 hours of material from the new crew, but we don't so it's all extrapolation. I hope and fear for the next movie, because it will deal new cards. For now, we didn't even really begin playing with the current ones yet IMO.

S/Mc have almost nothing to go on in the new movie. I read one apparently populat fic billed as "OT3", and IMO it was ... approximately as exciting as dishwater, and less creative.

Go with God, as it were, if you intend to write a real OT3 story for AOS. I have trust in you making it actually worth reading. (In fact you SHOULD. Fandom NEEDS these! I had one in mind, but K/Mc isn't letting go, so I doubt I have the time to cook up a real K/S/Mc fic.)

P.S. I'm kind of curious myself what they're going to do with the next movie(s). My guess is New Vulcan Homeworld drama, and somehow they'll kill off Spock prime (sorry :/). It's good angst, and would let new!Spock "come into his own" etc etc.

I, uhm, cranked out K/S/Mc MU!NU (the crack fic) and it sucked but two commenters already asked for sequels so there seems to be a lot of need. Will send you the link in private *cough*

New movie, I have no idea yet. Really nothing. And I intend to be as unspoiled as for this one, so let's talk about in 2.5 years :)

The Tarot Suite broke my heart. All that pain, it's one of those fics that I know I want to reread someday but I've only managed to go back to parts of it because it hurts so much. But oddly, the moment that has stayed with me the most is the moment after Spock has made his deposition of sorts to the Vulcan council and McCoy is so negative at first but then decides to meditate. And the Vulcans compliment Spock on his choice and Spock makes a public gesture of affection for pretty much the first time. It's that one scene that brought tears of joy to my eyes because it's so hopeful and sweet among all that misery.

I have trouble seeing K/S/Mc too. I think I could see it developing for Spock as an echo of Spock Prime's longing for his partners, perhaps as Ponn Farr thing or simply as a voyeuristic thing for Spock where he stumbles onto the relationship between Kirk and McCoy and wishes he could be with them too. I would want to deal with Uhura in that context too, not just sweep that whole thing under a rug and have him break things up with her offscreen.

I really hope you'll write something in the new track, you're one of my fave TOS writers ever!

THANK YOU for this compliment. I really try to write new universe, just am overwhelmed still and trying to sort out my various thoughts and feelings.

The Tarot Suite ate about four full months of my life and there were days when I was as depressed as my characters, not really able to distinguish between them and me anymore. Which obviously makes for great fic but damn, I was glad when it was finally written :)

Great ideas for K/S/Mc fic... thank you!
