Reboot and TOS - which people do you have in mind?

I was pointed to TOS songvids by FaithfullNightmare (some S/Mc, some K/S, one K/Mc!) and it makes me want to watch TOS very badly. It also made me think over my visualization troubles when picturing K/Mc at the moment.

So, have this poll for some of my favorite characters. I said "writing" because then it's really your choice who you picture and which eye colors you write, but you can also vote for reading or imagining :) (I might do another poll for mixed-up pairings in the future, but didn't want this one to get out of control *G*)

Reboot!Kirk is the weird one for me. He looks like Chris Pine in my head, but on the page he comes out as a cross between Shatner!Kirk and Pine!Kirk in terms of personality. It's ... odd.

I don't know why, but I always picture Kirk, Spock and McCoy as sort of mixtures in my head. More a combination of attitudes and gestures than physically though, since I tend to picture Urban!McCoy doing Kelley!McCoy things - like the bouncing and the little shoulder nudges and such.

Finally getting back to the Poll comments (duh) - a mix of attitudes and gestures sounds great. Maybe I should give it a try - my Reboot fic definitely lacks character descriptions due to the current chaos in my head :(

Tickets can be bought online (with an account, probably not useful for you) or on consoles in most train stations (with credit cards) or at a counter inside of train stations. Frankfurt/Main is really big and international, and Cologne is too so it should not be too confusing to get around.

I answer the poll before I realize you wanted writer and I'm more of a reader these days but I think it also depends on the story because most, if not all these days are reboot but I can totally see Shatner and Kelley than Pine and Urban but I had stories switch on me from TOS guy to AOS guys and switch in the same story. Like anything in the Academy, and any situation I never could see the TOS in before, it's the new guys but if it seems familiar then the TOS guys take over.

I think I need the second movie to help solidify Pine and Urban, right now it is a crap shoot.

As for the other cast it is easier since they were the secondary group with the exception of Uhura, Saldana has a 65/35 chance of seeing her but it does improve over the story and the more I read with her in them. Pike, easily Greenwood. I guess one episode doesn't make Jeffery Hunter memorable.

Oh yeah, Mark Lenard as Sarek is simply too embedded to ever leave. Sorry Mr. Cross. Same with Amanda before those bastards fridged her. Those MF bastards....

Finally getting back to the Poll comments (duh) - the poll was for writers AND readers.

Academy is Reboot area, agreed, I can't see the TOS characters there. I also hope the second movie solidifies the characters, especially grownup Pine!Kirk.

I actually disliked Ben Cross as Sarek, I thought he was rather weak (and Amanda likewise), so I was surprised that Mark Lenard didn't get a similar vote like Greenwood's Pike. Which btw is funny - Jeffrey Hunter had ONE complete episode plus its remix and still, 15 minutes of Greenwood canceled that out like nothing. Clear win here.
