Posting here to have them in one place :) My latest [livejournal.com profile] bridge2sickbay output (I love the comm, but the drabble scheduling Sunday night does not work well with my European timetable :/ )

Winona/Pike (warning: twincest and generally super-strange
***
People usually did not sleep with their siblings. And Winona, née Pike, married Kirk, knew that as well as everyone else. It's just that there had been that starry night in which she'd been lying close to Chris, both stoned, both silly. They'd joked about her being the goddess of fertility and he the ruler of the stars. They'd kissed and made love and she gave birth to a Kirk nine months later, on a shuttle running from a madman.

"It's been your doing, wasn't it?" she shouts into the speaker. "You sentenced George to death!"

"Winona - ?" Chris' face is white.

"You are the ruler of the cosmos! You are Zeus, Jupiter. You could've done something! Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you!"

She's still hurling obscenities when they drag her away from the console and put her back in the asylum cell.

Twenty-two years later, Chris agrees to deliver his beautiful daughter Jamie Kirk to Nero, on the price of one saved planet. And as he watches the ship that looks like straight out of hell sail away, he smiles a little.

Pike/Gaila - No matter how vast the differences may be between cultures, people always have something that somebody else wants and trade is born.
***
It was an easy thing; Gaila needed a trip into the Federation. Pike was the man who could give it to her. Even more - he was the man who could get her into the place of her dreams, Starfleet Academy.

At first, he didn't want to support her, but she found out rather easily how to wrap him around her little finger, with a teary-eyed story of her enslavement, the magic she worked with the engines of the shuttle with which his team had been stranded on the lonely outpost of Orion, and her whole, seductive self. Especially once she found out that he had a thing for Orion women.

Getting the trip was rather easy in the end; however, the entry into the Academy was not. He mostly adhered to Terran morals, after all, and so she ended studying for a year just to pass the entry test. At least she could bribe him into tutoring her as long as he was on Earth. And it wasn't really a sacrifice, considering how good he was in bed.

Kirk/McCoy - I can't sacrifice the present waiting for a future that may never happen. (warning: breakup fic)
***
Bones had waited five years. Three on the Academy, two on the Enterprise. He knew he was stupid, but sometimes love stole your brain.

He'd made a list of why he should stay at Jim's side anyway, when it was obvious that he'd never get what he really wanted, the dedicated relationship beyond their friendship and the nights shared for "recreational sex", as Jim called it.

He wanted it all, and he had been stupid enough to hope for Jim to change one day. But by now he was sure Jim never would - would never stop dating others, men or women; would never stop leaving him hanging, one way or the other. There was always something - or someone - else more important. How many nights had he stayed awake, listening to Jim's problems, trying to give advice; and how far and few had been the moments when Jim granted him the same dedication?

No; by now he knew all this would never change, and he was tired of it. Sick of it, even. For once he understood his ex. There was a point of no return, a point after which you stopped fighting for the things that were labeled with "should have, want have, could have", and started looking beyond them. Started to think how to break up, formulated the words in your mind, thought about the fitting situation in which any potential shouting afterwards wouldn't interfere with your work too much.

Heaven knows, this time he'd be the one to take the action. He wouldn't drag along in a situation that was slowly suffocating him until the other one would end it. This time, he'd be the one to walk away.

When he told Jim the next day, there was barely a blink; and he wasn't held back when he literally walked away, from the desk on which the PADD with his reassignment request lay. It was proof enough that it had been the right thing to do, but even though it was like a weight was being lifted from his shoulders with every step, it hurt like hell.

Maybe he should call Jocelyn in a few days - he suddenly understood her a lot better.

EDIT: And a link tip - weepinglaid wrote Pike/McCoy! *squee* And there's a lot more Pike inside this time - best thing is just to read through the prompt replies :)

Ooh, the third fic is very painfully well done. So true to life. Thank you for sharing.

The K/Mc is quite painful but feels real. My favourite parts are the comparisons between Kirk/McCoy and Leonard/Jocelyn.

I love the Pike/Gaila, how you wove in his preferences *g* from The Cage and the whole last paragraph. "Mostly adhered" indeed.

Yeah, the K/Mc feels much too real *needs some happy fic*

Pike/Gaila makes so much sense. I just don't feel like writing longer fic for them :)

Thanks for commenting!
