...but who could resist an Uhura/M'Ress drawing in a Trek zine? WOOOOHO!

And then I found a K&Mc and a K/Mc story in a K/S zine. WOHOOOOOOO AGAIN! They logically debate for the latter that because Kirk and McCoy share a night after Spock is gone and over the pain of him going, this is a K/S story in fact...IN A PIG'S EYE! It's everymuch K/Mc as it can be, as it has a great grip on the dynamics between them. I don't see Kirk and McCoy being as head over heels lovers. But what they have, the ground it's build on, effectively lasts a lifetime.
