um, for the shattering teeth, when a rock is thrown at glass and breaks it into a million pieces, that is called shattering.
When you are shivering cold and your teeth are constantly clicking together, that is called chattering.
So, unless you are so cold that you are clicking your teeth hard enough to make them break into a million pieces, I think you mean your teeth are chattering.
