You should read slowly, it might take some time till the next part is ready - it's already at 15K but will probably hit 30K and I need to work for money once in a while, really :))

But I promise there will be much foursome goodness in the next part. Not always uncomplicated, but hey, this is the most realistic series I ever wrote, and it's never totally easy with four people together.

NOW you tell me to read slowly?!?!

Heh, too late. I'm hooked like a fucking addict. I'll just be over here re-reading obsessively until the next part's ready... ;)

I'll go read it now - just to let you know, I've finished my reboot fic, though it calls for a sequel aboard the Enterprise. I'm determined to reform nu!Spock, too, but Old Spock is still my fave. McCoy, however, will be on that ship with nu!Spock and how will he react to a bonding wt his older counterpart?? I've just got to write it, I think.

But now to rest and enjoy your latest installment. I'm stil not a Pike fan much, but the way you write him - he's growing on me. :) Isn't it fun to have new life breathed into the fandom??

Hey nikita, yeah, fresh air in the fandom is really incredible. I wish there had been more Spock/McCoy vibes in the movie though OTOH K/Mc has become my core pairing by now *cough*

Pike is one hot sexy bastard and I think this series will go on for quite some more parts :) Hope you like the installment a little.

I even had an idea this morning how I could reuse a part that already has 20K but was in danger to get thrown away *cough* It might become my longest series ever. Not the least because of the great, supporting feedback :) It helps through dry spells, moments of insane writer's insecurity and moments of frustration when just single read through the draft costs half an hour.
