Woke up at 0430 and decided to stand up (must be ill). But this way, I get to chat at least with my oversea friends! *waves*

Will take some files with me to work (thank god for 64MB USB drives), so the day hopefully won't be totally boring ;)

some people in my phytohormones class learned the hard way that they apparently don't work on all computers or systems or something like that. *meep* otherwise i'd have gotten one...

They need a driver. Most newer systems have a universal driver installed in the purchase software, but that is a recent thing.

My first stick was a Sony and came with driver on cd. My new notebook and office machine didn't need a new driver installed, but my old desk top did. I would take the stick and the cd when going to a friend's house as frequently I would have to install a driver to use it.

So I needed another one and got one (Sandisk) labelled "No Driver Required" Hey sounded great!!!! I didn't see the asterisk or the fine print "runs off of all universal drivers".

Since you all know how computer-hopeless I am, it took me the better part of a night to download a driver off the net so I can at least use it between my own machines.

End of story

Oh, and I still think they are incredible! Maybe I do need an iPod....

You've had funny experiences, you two - my one worked with every computer so far (alright, I already knew that Win 95 doesn't have USB and Win 98 only USB 1.0, and I have no Mac).

I love my little stick ;P
