I can see K/S in TOS, I do, even though it doesn't float my boat. But in Reboot, it doesn't work zilch for me :)
I'm damn happy that Karl Urban was such a fabulous McCoy that he really increased the McCoy fanbase in trek fandom. In the st_respect voting, Urban's McCoy was the character most fans would do - that's been really warming my heart *g*
This said, I really love Greywolf's series which is - despite being K/S - still clearly McCoy-positive, as is the writer himself. But you're right, it would've been even greater for a McCoy fan to have him be a real part of that relationship later :)
