\o/ for the KirkSpockCentral maintainers to decide to keep the list! *relieved*
I'm not much into K/S without Bones *cough* but I've attended three great K/S cons due to that list, and would've been very sad to see it go. AFAIS it's still one of the best starting points if you want to connect to the old zine scene.

This said, I really love Greywolf's series which is - despite being K/S - still clearly McCoy-positive, as is the writer himself. But you're right, it would've been even greater for a McCoy fan to have him be a real part of that relationship later :)

Date: 2010-04-22 04:34 am (UTC)And yes, the new love for McCoy is great...but still, it's an imitation (no matter how good) of the original one and the character would never have been half as good if not for De's own personality and acting ability that gave so much to McCoy. Just like Nimoy and Spock - which is why the movie disappoints in such an essential way - it isn't Nimoy's Spock in the new Spock...just isn't... Maybe a second movie with him less emotionl and beating Kirk up constantly will help. ;-) And if he dumps Uhura. Ahem. Sorry, new Uhura sucks, IMHO.
