Fast Forward!
Oct. 26th, 2004 09:28 amThe wedding was great, but feels like it has happened already ages ago.
Yesterday, my project went into another stressy round until midday - then the final online help set was generated and given to the developer for inclusion into the final build. After that, I cleared my computer, copied all important files into the net folders of my team, finished my meta documents and a manual for my docs. My teamleaderess showed up, praised my work so much that my colleagues sat with gaping jaws when she left, then she hugged me as if I were her best friend, she was also very sorry that they couldn't offer me a follow-up project right away...well. I'm GLAD they couldn't :)
We finally set a date somewhere on Wednesday for a cut-over.
Then there was the question if I could get rid of my room for November. It wiggled back and forth for three days, and just when I thought that if that one girl who wants it doesn't take it, I keep it for my conference in November, girl phones and says she takes it, blind! Woah. But she's sitting far away, and has to believe in my words. I hope my flatmate and main tenant of the apartment agrees with the procedure - if not, I keep the room as I was intending to do.
So today I'm here "at home", will clear the apartment and my room, pack my stuff and very probably just take it all with me to Frankfurt Airport tomorrow and drive home straight afterwards - if I can handle all the luggage, that is *phew* It's not only my clothes and computer but all my bed stuff. Anyway, will buy a first class train ticket because the first class has much more space.
So WOAH, I'm FREE AGAIN!FREE AGAIN! FREE AGAIN! November with hubby! December with hubby!
And already starting to wonder if I should apply for this interesting thingy in Bruxelles (damn, I fear I have a challenge and career gene after all...)
