Love Calculator for Draws revisited
Apr. 15th, 2013 09:34 amIn January 2010, I fed my Draws Foursome into the http://www.lovecalculator.com/. That's what I found:

Pike/Kirk - it's not as if they don't love each other, but it plays on a slightly different emotional level than the other two Pike relationships in Draws. Which actually makes their relationship less stressful, because they just don't do drama. Usually.

Kirk/McCoy really is something special, in Reboot Trek and in Draws - the so far never disputed core couple of it all. But as we all know, there's nothing like a 99% relationship in real life :)
----
Now in April 2013, I added the two missing couples:

This is their start value - in the later parts, Kirk/Dael is definitely a lot stronger. I think the most interesting thing about the foursome is that each person meets some other needs with each of the other three. The family-and-children thing absolutely comes from the Kirk/Dael pairing.

A realistic 18% for most of Draws, even when they get closer - they mostly connect over their love for and care of Jim and Chris. Only the very last Draws part will show that their future relationship is in the 70's too.
Oh, and surfing the "draws" tag, I found an entry from December 2010 in which I say:
At this point, I feel a little apologetic that I didn't write much else this year; for all Draws-not-fans, there's an end in sight, as #14 will be the last part (#12 is quite done, #13 is started, #14 will be strongly based on a draft from August 2009). Just another 100K and we're good :)
And in July 2012 I wrote:
Fixed the sex scene (deleted 2800 not-working words and added 1000 hotter ones) and then shipped Draws#16 - the last part of the Draws series \o/ - off to the beta.
Haaa-haaaa-haaa! Best-laid plans and all. *sigh* :)
