Rec and some thoughts about Reboot fanfic

What I enjoyed this morning: Subspace - Pike/Spock having sex via vid screen and more. And oooh, that's the same writer who wrote Before the Bell (also Pike/Spock) - if you missed that one, run and read it!

And then I long wanted to collect typical Reboot expressions&actions - things I rarely or never got to see in TOS fic but are part of Reboot fandom (not accusing anyone of anything, just things I noticed):

calloused/callused - I'm into fanfic since 2002 and I had to look up this word when it showed up first! But it's in many of the Reboot fics.

clashing lips, mouths, teeth - the higher over-all testosterone level of the Reboot movie showing here

people preparing themselves with their own fingers - barely in TOS fic; this might be due to people now having a lot more experience of or at least material about anal sex.

Vulcan hand porn - it's been around a bit in TOS too but I think Reboot fandom elevate this to new heights.

titles as erotic gimmick - maybe that's due to my reading lots of Pike fanfic where it's just inviting that but overall I have the impression that Reboot fandom likes to play more with titles.

being capable of something - I knew the word before but this expression has made it into Reboot fic like woah, as did "your point being" and "dare".

motorcycles - I think they took Shatner's fancy and incorporated it into Reboot Kirk, but yeah - motorcycles are totally Reboot, as are bar brawls and music of 1980's.

P.S. I read a lot more WIPs in Reboot fandom than I ever did - but I've got to say that when someone posts a part 1/2, I expect part 2 to show up within a few days - and not weeks! *sourly looks at a particular fic where she's still waiting*

Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes McCoy/Chapel, massages, first time.

I also just had a look at the mccoy_chapel comm and yum, this header is lovely! She's the actress who played the sister of Reaper in Doom. Very inspiring! (And her name is Rosamund Pike *palms face* which gives me all kinds of weird thoughts now!) I even added two McCoy/Chapel icons to my collection now.

I do read McCoy het (even wrote some, though barely Chapel, as in TOS, she's rather burned for me as a characters), and maybe I'd write some in the future. This is really, eh...hot and inspiring :P

Don't Think Twice (It's Alright) by hollycomb, Kirk/Chekov/McCoy/OMC, Sulu/Chekov

Emotionally dark and strange, with Chekov being part¢er of a rather kinky (though chain-free) scene - and the way Sulu handles the whole thing doesn't bore well to my rational brain at all.

...haven't been happy with last night's threesome icon, I sat down and did one from the movie pictures (and deleted the other icon).

P.S. This has to be my favorite behing the scenes screenshot so far, not the least because of the cute expression on Urban's face. Yum.

More fiddling with Gimp

I like the picture, but the icons don't really work, somehow...( manips and stuff )

And now I really feel the need to make something more productive because honestly, I'm bad at composing this stuff :/
