I write 99% of my time in English (much to the chagrin of some German readers). I started in an English group and never looked back.
In German, I'm wordier and write rather complicated sentences. And it's a lot of work (and a pain in the ass) to translate the results afterwards. Besides, part of my reason to write in English is the training effect :)
Do you ever use direct quotes or anecdotes from RL in your fics? Like you and your husband in bed and you try something new and suddenly "Oh! A perfect thing for Kirk to do to McCoy!" etc.
I thought about it (and even looked through my story list), but I don't use direct quotes, I think. Anecdotes, hmmm. Not many either.
But the stories are often reflecting my present mood and situation, mingling them with old memories and thus turning them into something new. But doesn't everyone do this?
Yeah, everyone does that a bit. I was just wondering if I was the only person constantly asking a partner, "Hey!!! Can I use that in a K/S fic????" ~_^
