*excitement*

*happiness*

That said, I watched "Moulin Rouge" last night (and fell asleep in the end). This is a weird movie. I liked the idea with the songs, but what the heck had this to do with Paris, 1900??? It remained a total mystery to me.

Then I didn't see one single bit of femslash vibes...with who, anyway? *very confused* :)

The whole movie is like the Hollywood idea of Europe, i.e. take Disneyland, a fake city, the "Moulin Rouge" design, "La Boheme" in the way it would have been written by Elton John, throw in the artist Toulouse so that you can feel cool and artisty, plus scenes that fit not one millimeter to the original time and place and make one big mixture. Or maybe they wanted to fake Bollywood? But then I must say, the Indians make much better fancy Hollywood remakes than Hollywood does :)

Well. Oz anyone for me, please ;)? *G*

Oh dear. I was so hoping that you could fill me in.

Yes, you really must get your hands on Oz. It's like a Mirror Universe (nearly) all male soap opera where the guys frequently get naked--including some brief but clear full frontal clips--and have sex all the time.

Of course, I can bring some to England. You know that I must bring the precious anyway, right? ;) And I really to need to get a cap of the Keller goods. Can one make clips from a dvd? There is a really cute one of Toby pulling his jeans back up and the pp doing a little flip as it drops back in.

I've never been able to stand watching that movie. One of those movies that everyone goes nuts for, but I'm baffled at what's so great about it. Actually made me hate Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman for quite awhile. Ick. Hated Chicago, too. Not much of a modern musical fan, I guess.

I've seen only snatches of Oz, myself. Was a little violent for me. I liked Queer as Folk (US) for sheer nudity and nautiness, but it is a too predictable and cutesy at times (adopting a young prostitute with a sassy mouth?). Oh well... The best gay couple I've seen on TV was in Six Feet Under. I love Keith and David! Whoo hoo! Keith's way too sexy.
