I have't been able to listen to that since the Doonesbury cartoon where Andy died of AIDS as it played. *sniffles and blames it on allergies*

Except for the first line, it does make an amazing gay rights anthem.

I never thought about that :) I learned to love the song when I was in my first relationship where it definitely fit, as I was 18 and the outside conditions weren't all that well. But it's also just a damn good song, for all ages.

{{hugs}} I had to look up what cartoons you meant. Must have been impressive, if it had that effect on you. (And somehow I'm very glad for not telling me that I was an overly romantic schmoop soul for loving that song...)
