Finally "Something Stupid" (K/Mc) is done and posted. Man, what a struggle! I dunno why the last stories were all so hard work; nothing really flows at the moment, all bigger drafts are stuck. Okay, might be the rl issues, but compared with many other folks I don't have any serious issues.

I feel like I wrote myself empty in the December rush, and now am only collecting the remaining bits and pieces like half-done stuff, translations and very short stories, to get them off my desk *frustrated look* The novellas-in-draft would need daily work to accomplish something - I tend to forget just how much time flows into them before they are done. 13 months ago I wrote on the Tarot Suite for about 8 hours a day; it was effectively a full-time job. But at least Janet virtually held my hand and kept me moving. And I didn't do anything beside writing; even my hubby complained in the end.

Maybe I should find myself another cheerleader to get at least my S/Sa/K AU novel done. I just checked - I last added something to it at Nov 6th, 2003. It's at 13000 words as loose draft. It will be a multiple of that when done. Well. It all starts with opening that file daily. Reading through it, checking the flow. Writing down all scenes that come to my mind. Allowing for empty chapters and plotting&crafting them in the end. Not fearing the white areas. I have the beginning and the climax in the near-end. I need to find the energy to write on it for the next month. That simple. *sigh*

we ALL felt more productive during the December rush. Sometimes it's really good just to take a break to let the writing forces recharge, so that we don't burn out.

Glad you finished your story, though :-)
