First of all, I got Mary van Deusen's vids in the mail. Will set up a few later - need to find out how much bandwidth and server space they fill before putting them all online :)

Then, SHELLEY's K/S/Mc DRAWING ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's differing from my original idea a bit, but it's still GREAT! I want to publish it in the Forbidden Fruits threesome special zine, but it costs me a lot not to show it just everyone online for now, sigh!

Which brings me to the point that a fellow trek fan has agreed to make graphics for the zine and its website, YAY!

And finally...I made my first vid. It's a beginner's vid and rather beta version, it has no great gimmicks, it has surely many weak points, but all in all, it's not that bad, I hope. And it's a total Kirk fest, though I managed to get a little edge to it, IMO :)))) Rightclick and save or something...

Congrats on everything! I watched the vid, and I have to say you have a nice sense of timing and wow, I had forgotten how many times Kirk locked lips with chicks! Fun to watch. Thanks for letting us see!

I have no right brain, so I won't try to make any useful comments except that I basically liked it. I thought the cuts and timing worked well and that I think I like the period music to go with the abundance of 60's costumes.

Even though I liked the second to last clip very much and the way it reflected the show that all of us watched (over and over and over and over), the very last one seemed to change everything in a way that didn't work for my brain.

I hope your new addiction contines to make you very very happy, and I will look forward to seeing what comes next.

Happy you liked most of the vid and I'm actually kind of with you concerning the last clip (even though it might just be that Shatner looks so old in it and I want to end with pretty!young!Kirk! *G*) There will be probably a vid#v2 in two weeks or something. Still trying to figure out so much.

I'm not sure my new addiction makes me as happy as the others do, sigh. Too many grey hair over file formats and problems. It's more like being driven to get that stuff done than being happily engulfing myself. Weird :) But there will be more...have already another Kirk one and a McCoy one in mind *G*

I liked the vid, the music went very well with it and it was quite amusing. (I'm less impressed by Shatner's way of kissing onscreen, though... ah, TV conventions!) I wasn't disturbed by the final shot, though, contrary to watergal.

I'm happy you received all those goodies and looking forward to more MVD vids! Yes, I'm selfish.
Will you put a scan of the drawing online? Her stuff is always so beautiful!

And, did the DVDs work, finally? Because, if not, it would be the second time I'm sending stuff to people who can't read it :-(

a) The DVDs work on the other computer, but I seem to be msising the right codec and only get sound. Any clue what I should install...?

b) The Shelley drawing won't go online for now (well, maybe a little scan *gets weak*) because it's for my zine series :) Not when I originally ordered it, but it's too good to let that chance pass.

c) Will put some MvD vids online ASAP, but as I'm away for this weekend, this might take some time because we've got a small line.

d) Thanks a lot for the vid fb! I'm not totally happy about the final shot either, so I guess there will be a vid#v2 when I got all the other scenes I had missed into this one too :) *still ripping stuff, sigh*

Thanks for the MvD vids!

As for the DVDs: I use a variety of software to read videos, and if one does not work another usually does.

- Windows Media Player (really, it's crap... but it's installed on the computer by default anyway. Updating it helps, sometimes), the only non-freeware/shareware on my nerd's list ;-)

- Video Lan. Reads almost anything, especially on a second try.

- Any DivX player, they usually come with lots of codecs.

- Media Player Classic should probably read it too...
