The third question is UNFAIR! V is blatantly the slashiest but VI is blatantly the best! But V is quite funny AND has Chekhov and Sulu lying about the weather! But VI has Kirk and McCoy on Rura Penthe! But but but- *EXPLODES*
Hey, having a full harddrive is unfair too! (And that's my very new, external 40 GB HD!) I don't really know what to do about it. I guess I need to put the full files on my home computer and only take the best snippets with me :(
BTW, you were so quick in answering the first poll that our results showed up at the same time :))) Woah.
I think that if I had to choose, I'd probably go with V. VI is my favourite story (and has the BEST space-battle evah), but V's got so much good character stuff.
I don't know why, but your poll won't let me answer - just keeps showing me the results.
So for the first one: I don't really feel bad to reread old fb, but sometimes it can remind me I'm not posting anything new lately.
Second: It's a long recovery process, but I'm told I will get better...someday. lol It can be annoying when used too much, but sometimes I find it more annoying if the author has an aversion to them even when one particular scene really calls for a definite pause or a character that is having difficulty speaking. Sometimes they really are needed. Dashes just don't communicate quite the same thing.
Third: Star Trek VI hands down. Better movie = Better movie. But then you have had an unusual fascination with Shatner lately, so maybe you should go with his movie. ;P
*grins* Seems people either hate or love the dots. There are fics where I overused them a bit, too, but some people don't seem to be able to write one paragraph without them, and that's really annoying IMHO. But I agree that sometimes they are very useful and say something different than dashes :)
Concerning the movie ripping, see other lj entry *G*
Try clicking on the poll numbers. It'll take you to the actual poll page, which you can then click on "Fill Out Poll" from there. If that doesn't work, you're boned.
