My Year 2005 #3

Re manips, drawing and vidding 2005, well, it can all be found on my website. I'm very, very happy that I began doing art, and I want to thank the people who got my brain started on THINKING about the possibilities...and without that, I wouldn't have gone anywhere:

- Virginia Sky with her workshop for photomanipulations (KiScon 2004)
- Shelley Butler with her workshop/talk about drawings (KiScon 2004)

It was the first time I felt that doing those things is something you can learn, something that can be managed. And both are such positive, encouraging personalities, easy to talk to and open for new ideas.

As for vidding, there are:
- Killa with all her wonderful trek vids
- Mina (venuskaio) because, well, if a young "Ossi" girl can do vids, I can do it too ;) (Nothing like a bit of friendly competition to get me started.)

I met Mina rl on Fedcon 2005, and she's a very nice person (and an S/Mc fan to boot) and I hope she'll stay with us for a long time :)))

So - THANK YOU, FANDOM for inspiring me and making me want to go where I didn't go for decades. If it hadn't been for your writings, drawings, vids, manips and all the discussions about them, I wouldn't have stepped out of my little box like this.
