On my train ride back to Nuremberg I watched TMP for inspiration, since I am writing a post-TMP K/Mc right now (and it flourishes! Thank God and/or my muses!). So I wanted to get the feeling right and woah, it _is_ a weird movie. But there are four great K/Mc scenes in it.

The first is when McCoy comes onboard, and Kirk says "I need you, Bones. Badly." Then reaches out with his hand. Finally McCoy takes it. Awwwwww.

Second, when Kirk wants to go to Warp against the advice of Decker and Scotty, and McCoy leans foward and says, "Jim, you're pushing. Let you people do their jobs."

Third is, when Kirk brushs up Decker because of the phaser thing, and says "Stop competing with me!" and Bones says, when Decker left, that it's actually KIRK who competes. (Kirk is really a bastard in this movie!)

Fourth, the talk with Spock, who is about as stiff as the Vulcan stone figures from the scene on Seleya. (Spock really hurts me about as much as K and Mc, I think. When he first comes to the bridge, I want to KICK him. Really. The hurt only stops in the very end. And I still want to KICK him.)

TMP is quite a fest for K/Mc fans. But far from simple sexbunnies, I admit. My bunnies are rather dark at the moment, and I am not sure if my story will have any sex at all. But it's coming along nicely. And angst is always fine *ggg*

This K/Mc shipping has drifted into serious water - canon-wise, it's the pairing I see the clearest. Talk about filtered view ;P

But I can also stand K/S better at the moment than I did for a long time. Lyra hopes that this will hold on until the end of March, when I go to KisCon *eg* Well, I'll do my very best.

Spock is pretty infuriating in TMP, isn't he? That first scene on the bridge is cruel.

Kirk seems to brush it off, though . . . and about an hour later Spock seems to have come around, acting more or less civil. Does Kirk know something we don't? Shall we add Vulcan-taming to his talents?

I'm sorry to hear your K/Mc thing is so dark. Yes, they were estranged, but there seems to be a lot of intense emotion between them and not channeled in this negative way as between Kirk and Spock. It's powerful, so I suppose it could go bad, especially with Spock as the unstable variable in their lives. Well, I'll have to see it when it's finished. ^_^
