So...shiny new laptop has lots of software now, though it's still far from being complete. Stopped working on it after an surprisingly failing attempt at using the LAN cards to connect the two over a switch, which killed all our WLAN for a while. Very mysterious. We decided to shove the problem to Sunday or something :)

Though it is a shiny new laptop, I was a bit stupid when ordering it and it has a rather small (in height) screen and is rather lite in weight because it was optimized for transport. Knowing what I know now about my job future, I'd rather like something with a 17" screen, no matter the weight. Sigh. I can't return it, though, because I bought it as business person.

If I had lots of money, I'd give the new laptop to [livejournal.com profile] wuffelchen (who's urgently waiting for my old one to take it :) and order myself another one ;) But the tax department wants MONEY from me very soon, and so it's no option. A pity for us both :)

Proceeded with my K/S drawing - only Kirk's head is missing now, and the drawing is...alright. Rather "wild" technique as compared to the last one (Alexander) but not in the eyes of [livejournal.com profile] wuffelchen *G* I definitely have to take a look at the "Rendering in Pen and Ink" book again.

Coming today: Nail Art(!) workshop with friends (for my darling's feet, not mine ;) and animal roleplaing meeting later.

Oh, and I read BOOKS. But, shame over me, they're all Georgette Heyer ones, which I've read more often than I can remember (for years, I read something next to my lunch at home, and 99% of it was GH because I knew them by heart then and could simply drop them after half an hour without problems).

So, a poll!

I have never heard of Georgette Heyer so I chose other

and my thought to "only Kirk's head is missing now" was...

"OMG! Jim's head is missing!" Bones freaks.

"What do you mean it is missing?" Nyota

"Is this like the time that weird chick stole Spock's brain?" Sulu

"I can't take much more of this Cap'n, uh... I mean doctor, the engines are about to blow!" Scotty

*sigh* "There is absolutely no way the Captain's head could be missing doctor and for you to say so is illogical."

"I'm telling you it's missing! It's not on his body, it's not anywhere near him and it's no where on ship! It's just gone! No trace of it! I have no idea where to even begin looking for it, I'm a doctor not a headhunter!"

"Did you try looking in the clothes hamper?" Nyota

"Be wery wery qwiet I'm hunting for the Keptin's head" Pavel, "we Russians have alvays been wery good head hunters in fact the Kosacks..."

"Shut up Pavel!" Everyone.

*sigh* "Why do I stay here on ship? Really why?" Spock asks himself underneath his breath.

"OH! Here it is! It was in Spock's bed for some reason. I wonder how it got there?"

"Why is Jim smiling like that?" Scotty

"It looks almost as if he had such good sex it blew his head clean off his body." Nyota

"Yeah but that would mean he had sex with Spock..." Leonard says.

*Everyone looks at Spock*

*Spock raises an eyebrow and says nothing.*

"Come on Spock, are you and the captain having sex?" Len.

"I refuse to answer that question. Shouldn't you be putting Jim's head back on him?"

"Yeah, it would be kind of nice if you did that soon Bones." Jim's head.

"Um... how is he talking when his head isn't attatched to his body?" Sulu

*Everyone* "Don't ask!"

"O...kay..." Sulu goes back to looking pretty and steering the ship.

"I'll take Jim's head to sickbay and reattach it." Len, "You haven't heard the last of this Spock. I will find out what you and Jim are up to sooner or later."

"Perhaps sooner if he agrees to my proposal of inviting you to join us soon." Spock

*Everyone gapes*

*Leonard shakes his head, collects himself and takes Jim's head to sickbay.

*dies laughing* This is great, Qzee!!! Thanks for writing *ggg*

(BTW, in the drawing, Kirk's head is still missing - I have that weird attitude to draw the most complicated thing as the very last - not really good, but well...;)

Haven't read her. Looked on Amazon and apparently writes Gothic Romances and mysteries. Might give her a read some day.

Hmmm, she wrote mysteries too, but I don't like those a lot. I love her Regency novels, but I wouldn't call them gothic (? *wonders a little*). Before you buy any, ask me for my favorites :) *too stressed now to look up the English titles*

I looked her up on Amazon and that's what one of the comments said. I thought they looked more like "Regency" romances! I might check one out of the library some day. Hope you de-stress soon!
