There is that nice t-shirt from the UK (remember, same continent ;) and the postage says:

£20,00 Sellers Standard International Rate North and South America, Europe.

Is the seller mad, I think, and send her the following question:
20 GBP for postage to Germany??? Is there any way to get it cheaper?

She says:
how does £10.00 sound to you then.
kind regards.

My reply, after a little research:
Sorry, it doesn't sound much better. I had a look at other t-shirt
auctions, and the UK folks usually send a t-shirt around in England for 2
GBP and to Europe for 2-3 GBP. For 6 GPB, one of them would send worldwide.
Your postage is highly overpriced in my rating. I'm no longer interested in
the article. Good luck

And that's what I get back ;)

NO PROBS THAT'S UP TO YOU.I'VE SOLD LOADS OF THESE T-SHIRTS OVER THE LAST
COUPLE OF MONTHS AND PEOPLE HAVE BROUGHT MORE FROM ME AS THEY THINK THERE
CHEAP FOR THIS QUALITY AND RARENESS.SO THE PRICE IS OK AS THEY WOULD NOT
HAVE BROUGHT THEM.PLUS IT COVERS THE PRICE OF THE ITEM TO PUT IT ON AND P+P
AND OTHER ITEMS I SEND IN WITH THIS ITEM.BUT HEY THANKS FOR LOOKING IT'S
YOUR LOSS NOT MINE I'LL SELL IT TO REAL TREKKIE COLLECTORS WHO NO A GOOD
QUALILTY PRODUCT WHEN THEY SEE IT.
KIND REGARDS.

It absolutely jerks my chain when I pay for first class or priority and it arrives media mail. That's four dollars versus 65 cents! Grrr!

Yeah. It has become quite a fashion that people sell "cheap" items but have a highly overprice postage to cover their real costs. I. Don't. Like. That. At. All. I think it's just cheating.

um, that's ridiculous. first of all, the person can't spell and is making themself look stupid. second of all, the whole 'you're not a reak trekkie, only real trekkies can buy my shit' thing is really lame because no matter how big of a fan you are, if the damn thing has too high of a price, it's NOT worth it to some people with budgets & brains.

it's like someone calling me not a real knitter because i won't spend more than $10 a skein on my favorite cashmere blend. (Market retail price is $15.)

Well, you and I know that you are a real knitter and I'm a die-hard trekkie *G* Even though we don't shove our money into other people's a** :)

Funny thing is, I do pay overpriced things if I really want them...but when it comes to overpriced postage, I feel just cheated.

How dare they say you aren't a trekkie if you aren't prepared to pay such a bloated postage price? I hate it when Ebay sellers get attitude like that. It's stupid to be mean to a potential customer. You lose that customer for life usually and any friends they tell about it.

Of course it is stupid, but she was obviously really pissed *G* Even though I have tried to write it really nice, and not said the things I felt like *G*

BTW, read all your postings, very interesting. Was glad to hear you could handle the surgery and your mother in law well *G* Just didn't feel like commenting much, as RL ate my time and energy. Try to get it back now :)
