Woah, it really started. And darn, are there many categories *pained look*

I'm not without guilt for this incredible number - in some categories I even don't vote because 90% of the stories are mine ;)
I start slowly now and with the small categories. In the bigger ones, I always have the feeling that I vote "wrong" because I'd love to put many stories on the first place...hmmhmmm

Date: 2004-02-10 12:13 pm (UTC)I know what you mean about how hard it is to vote. Voting for real was much easier. I already knew who I was going to vote for in the presidential primary, and when faced with the task of checking off all the fellow citizens I wanted on the election committee for my ward, I just voted for all the ones who lived on middle class streets and didn't vote for the ones on rich people streets. That's fair, right? My alderman was also running for ward committee, so I made sure not to vote for him either, because he's a turd. Muahahahah. Take my alderman--please! The fact is that everyone on the ballot was going to get in, since despite it being extremely important to the functioning of our democracy, ward committees are one of those things that everyone ignores. Damnit, I had five write-in slots -- I should have written in Donald Duck. Damn!

Date: 2004-02-10 12:27 pm (UTC)BTW, I found out that voting is easier once one realizes that if one likes only two stories best in a category, one doesn't have to give place 3 to anything...I had categories now where I only voted for one story...funny :) (And I vote more for Farf stuff than I would have thunk *g*)

Re: GO's
Date: 2004-02-10 01:05 pm (UTC)Man, for some categories I voted a tad too fast. Ah well. Will balance itself out. (And what the heck shall I choose in the endless TOS SLASH VINETTE list???

Re: GO's
Date: 2004-02-11 02:06 pm (UTC)There's nothing anyone can do about my story, I fear. I had very hot S/Mc phantasies, but when trying to put them on paper, it didn't flow. Gna.
