It was so very amusing - at 1500, my husband sat next to me on the couch and said: "I can't believe that we did all the shopping already yesterday. It is just plain wrong not to wait until the last minute. I feel we need to buy something."

"You want to go shopping to feel better?" I asked.

"Yes."

Therefore we went shopping, and bought a few bags of chips, canned tangerines and a piece of cheese (the world really needed that ;). Then we went to the MediaMarkt and bought DVDs - one documentary about the US space program, "Ben Hur" (love it), "Shining" (never saw it completely), "Waterworld" (bad movie but pretty pictures) and "A Streetcar Named Desire" (sexy Marlon Brando, yay!).

We also fetched the fondue equipment from my mother-in-law and had a nice chat with her.

Life is great. Life is perfect *swoons*************

Oh my, you're brave! Facing the hordes of christmas-shoppers one day before Christmas... *shudder*

I went to the store for the last minute grocerie-shopping (aka bread, salad and anything you can't freeze and therefore buy weeks in advance) this morning before eight o'clock and it was really crowded at the store. People always seem to think that there'll be no more food for weeks to come - scary. ^_^

Nice DVDs. "Streetcar" is good - not as good as the other Tennesse-Williams movies, but Vivien Leigh is marvelous as Blanche. Have fun!

Was the documentary "Moon Shot?" That is my favorite.

Cheese is good. Always.

It's the first part of "From the Earth to the Moon".

Cheese is good but we already had some at home ;))

Cheese! Of every kind!

Oh, dear, Waterworld was so terrible. I can't stand Kevin Costner. I do like Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves, but partly because he was the only one who didn't have a Brit accent. Even Christian Slater slapped on a decent one. A Californian in Sherwood Forest! The slasher in me rarely digs the incest, but there were possibilities there... IMO.

I went to the motorcycle store today to get a plate frame that doesn't have a gratuitous shop plug on it. People were doing Christmas shopping (unfortunately, none of them for me), and I was giggling. "I'm looking for a Christmas gift." "Well, we have Shift gear on sale..." "Is that 'cool'?"
