"Equilibrium"

Very, very slashy in the beginning. The interaction of the characters of Christian Bale (John) and Sean Bean (Errol), and the very empty bed while John recited the last lines Errol could speak to him before he shot him is all very slashy.

The movie is very un-American considering how early two of the main figures for the emotional development - Errol and Mary - die. However, the ending is a little bit too Matrix-like for my taste. Being a realist, I'd think that they get John and restore the society again, because, duh, everyone is still on drugs and it's a group of people running the system, just like in the former Soviet Union. Revolutions don't work if you have one man doing the hero thing all alone :)

The images are very, very nice for songvids, because you got action, big buildings, great camera angles and coolly looking main characters :) Yummy!


I think I'll check out the Equilibrium fanfic at Yuletide now.
