I love it when the characters suddenly drive the plot. In my story, Kirk was already leaning forward and opening his mouth to ask Sarek for help to save McCoy - when I suddenly realized he'd rather see him dead than in the Vulcan's hands.

So Kirk said something completely different.

Yes! But contrary to belief, McCoy keeps his balls! Obviously, the ending of part 4 wasn't quite clear ;)
