We've got a long holiday weekend here in Germany, starting Friday and including Monday. My husband can definitely use it, considering that he didn't have much resembling even free days within the last four weeks.

The kitchen looks as if a bomb has gone down in it (we really say that in Germany - "als wäre eine Bombe rein" - I think it must be a leftover from two World Wars). Anyway, will clean it later and try my luck with the old, traditional butter cream tart recipe *looks forward*

But first, a coffee and fruit salad. Life is good :))

I realise this has nothing to do with this post, but I could have sworn you just posted about personalising your journal. I wrote out a reply and everything, went to post it, and the entry disappeared. Am I crazy?

Here was what I was going to say:

When I asked that question a while ago, mrs_spock pointed me to thefulcrum. There are a variety of pre-made layouts there, which you can edit if you want to make them more personal (mine is an edit of this one). Unfortunately, if you want to edit it you'll need to understand CSS coding, which is something I can't really help with. I only vaguely understand it myself.
Was there anything in particular you wanted to change?

I'm not really sure what I want (part of the problem, ehem), but I think about adding a nice background - and most of the styles don't really show the background pic, if it can be set at all.

Trying around a little now, and it's almost as bad as moving apartments, duh. I'm lj addict and need something I can stand every day :))
