Watched BL with the last of my strength, but it was sooo worth it.

It was the Tom Selleck as Shirley's ex episode, which had musical humor, some Shirley/Denise (tsk, my brain), great Paul & Shirley and Paul & his daughter and an interesting Alzheimer case for Alan and Denny with a surprising ending and a great last scene on the balcony. 100 points!

I LOVE that ep! Not crazy about the Paul-daughter-Brad storyline, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything else. And I am so totally NOT a Tom S. fan (although upon catching 2 minutes of Magnum, P.I. this year, it did strike me as gay gay gay gay gay to the point of wondering how I missed it before.

Yes, Magnum is SO GAY but I missed it too for most of the time. I just don't have slashdar (except for "Warlock", where the characters of Fonda and Quinn are shouting it at the viewers. Watched the movie for De, but this barely hidden couple blew me away. Woah.)

Ah, that is, one of the best eps ... and you'll be happy to know that Tom Sellek comes back for a few more eps which are just as good.

I am thinking about it ... but will have to wait until after my upcoming vacation (May 19 - June 2 in the Cayman Islands for our 25th anniversary). The major factor I need to consider is the cost of getting there (it's a 7-hour/400+mile drive each way - flying, plus cost of transport from the airport would probably cost about the same). Membership for the weekend isn't a problem, but I did discover that the hotel is already sold out. And then there's work to consider ... I've heard that the plant I'm working in closes down for a week or two in July, but no specific dates have been mentioned yet ... I hope they say something about that soon. I could do it, even if I was working, but it would mean leaving after work on Friday, and driving 7 hours (arriving around 11PM) then leaving early enough on Sunday to get home at a decent hour so I could go to work on Monday.

I believe the pre-reg discount is in effect until June 15 ... I should know for certain if I can do it before then.
