My Smart baby just broke down, with the engine on the fritz. The repair would cost at least as much as the car is worth. Since we need two cars, I'm probably going to bite the bullet and finance one. Going to check a lot of things tomorrow. I may have to go back to Bremen by train, which poses interesting logistic problems. (Right now I've got a rented car.)

The hotel room of last night smelled like cold smoke and was much too cold. Thank god I'm back in the good hotel with free wlan now.

Coming tomorrow: WORK. Dammit. I'm behind my personal schedule and need to produce some visible results soon. There's a project extension for January in the air, but if it looks as if I do nothing, they won't take me. And I need the money...

EDIT: My husband just said in our chat, "new Smart car, new luck". He's so wonderful, he can always make me smile *sniffles* :)

We're getting a kia soon, so maybe it would be good to look at other brands. Toyota and some other japanese brands have engines that last forever!

I know that Japanese cars are the bests; however, I LOVE Smart and absolutely want one again :) It's not a logical car, and people either love or detest it. But I'm as much as love with it as I was with my (similarly illogical) Vespa scooter :)
