I watched the the trailer for the new Startrek movie (youtube link) and when I heard Nimoy say THE CLASSIC INTRO, I laughed so hard because OMG, Shatner will hate that :P

As much as I adore him as Spock, Nimoy never had style.

Kelley, on the other hand... ^_^

Oh, I think he would've said it too if somebody had asked *G*

Wasn't he the one who made "Night of the Lepus" because The house needed a new roof?
Actors! !^_^! No shame! ~_^

But he knew how to dress - I love those pics with him wearing a tuxedo. ^_^

I can tell you, when you're self-employed and you need money, you'd do a lot for it...and for actors, it's really, really hard.

Yes, I know what you mean - I don't critize actors for taking every job they can get. It's a very reasonable thing to do. Even great stars like Cary Grant made a lot of really bad or sappy movies - it's just the way it is. And the fans have to dig for the good movies... ^_^

That trailer was... sorta pointless, in how it didn't actually show anything. *g* But your icon, as usual, made me smile. :D

Glad to make you smile :))))

And I actually loved the trailer, it made me shiver in a good way. I SO hope this movie will be good. Sigh ;)

The trailer had more than I expected. At this stage, for, say, the original Star War movies, all they'd show in a trailer a year in advance was just some kind of enigmatic logo and no footage at all. I did like all the space travel references, too.

I'm looking forward to the movie - I hope it's wonderful, a big success, and the first of more to come.

Of course Nimoy has done the intro twice before - I think Star Trek 2 and 3?

Really? Never noticed. But I still think this time it will bug Shatner more. I'm a little bit sorry for him, but not too much.

Yes. I checked, and Nimoy spoke the "where no man" intro over the closing credits of ST2 and at the beginning of ST3.
