1. What scene always makes you cry?
None always, but close are the goodbye scene of "Casablanca" and the moment in ST II after Spock's funeral where the camera moves to the planet with the orchestra playing "Amazing Grace".

2. What scene always makes you laugh?
"Troubles with Tribbles", when the hatch opens over Kirk - and the next, where Spock totally deadpan delivers his calculated number of tribbles.

3. What scene always makes you cringe?
"Galileo 7", the various crewmen verbally bashing Spock.

4. What scene always confuses you?
After thinking for a while...I think I will never understand how in TNG the situation can be urgent and deadly and all and they slowly walk around as if they had all the time in the world. PLEEEZE, if your character is in danger to be dead in 30 seconds, let it ACT accordingly.

5. What scene always makes you want to kill the writers?
Generations, with ST V a close second. And ENT, esp. "The Andorian Incident" and the mindmeld disease crap ep! (BTW, I don't care enough for the TNG movies to want to kill anyone, but only First Contact was really acceptable IMVHO :)

Why does everyone hate ENT?
I feel sick and wrong for liking it. :p

I really tried to like it. I mean, I like the main song (which most people hate ;) enough to look up the lyrics *g* But the picture they draw of my most beloved species (Vulcans) and what they do to TOS canon is just too weird. Besides, many eps I saw are simply boring like hell. They damage the Trekuniverse and are proud of it. Gna.

Now they want to bring another half-human, half-Vulcan into one ep - before Spock! This is definitely fucking GR canon. If their own ideas aren't able to make a decent series, they should the hell go and find another job.

Even if everyone in the universe didn't like it, you are still allowed to like it without being sick and wrong. Think about what the majority thinks about people like me. But so? It's all just opinion. Don't feel bad because you enjoy something that other people don't like--after all, aren't we worse off than you because we have one less show to watch? ~_^

True. Besides, Kat, Selek also likes ENT. And T'Lin. And think of all the ENT writers. In fact, I like to read ENT and find Archer/m pairings quite hot - as long as I forget the real eps *ggg*

A.q, in hopeful mood setting sails for her new K/Mc challenge

I just emailed your syredronning@syredronning email... about another challenge thing... and i'm terrified you're going to be displeased with me *blush*

Your Challenge Idea

?? Why should I? You've written a very nice intro to the mail, so I don't feel insulted *LOL* Definitely worth a try. I feel more like participating in this than in the almost-dead-SpockFF. I am about to leave that group and for the first time in treksmut throw a challenge.

I actually feel like since you're not that big on faith and I am, I might have a better time with anything sex-and-Surak related. So if you're giving that up, I'll take it. Not that anyone else has written anything for the SFF as far as I know. I wrote my challenge piece a long time ago during my huge Saavik obsession last fall, and I've been dying to post it somewhere... blah.

The other reason I thought you'd be mad was that Hy and I slung some barbs at S/Mc on KSC. But they are just our opinions and suchlike :-)

I'd love to have you in the challengey thing. That makes at least 3!!! :-D

Oh, I had a pretty heavy Spock/Surak idea in mind, maybe I will even still write it. But whenever I went to read group mais (resp. none of them), I felt weird and pulled down. I'd rather write for more cheering groups :)))

Considering McCoy...you've your ideas and I have mine *g* And all in all, I prefer the triade to have them all in one bunch. But permutations of the three are fine. I just find that S/Mc and K/Mc need a bit more support ;)

A.q, with no semi-religious beliefs into any pairing and an OTP allergy (besides her own relationship and other rl pairings *winks at Maoric/Farf*g*)

You're right about them needing more support so it's good that you're so enthusiastic about making sure they get it. :-) (hey, add farfalla/maoric as a lj interest! tee-hee, it'll be funny. some of my other friends did after our engagement. also, add kirk/spock/mccoy and see if anyone else did. if they did, it'll become a link in your profile, and maybe you can meet a new fan or two.)

I added Farfalla/Maoric successfully, but no one else has kirk/spock/mccoy *sniff* :)

Yes I know - I was mostly kidding. But thanks! :)
I just wonder though... I just don't see what other people hate about it. That is, I know what their reasons for hating it are, I just don't see what they see.

Maybe you're not such a hardcore TOSer :) (No judgment! I mean, being a hardcore TOSer can make things harder sometimes!)

I'm not a TOSer at all, which is probably part of it. But there's the time-travel aspect of it, which IMO means they can take liberties with canon. After all, Time Travel Dude said in a recent episode that "this was not supposed to happen. None of this was supposed to happen".

So I dunno.

"This was not supposed to happen. None of this was supposed to happen".

*LOLOL* The first true statement *eg* Sorry, dear, on the ENT point we'll forever disagree :) But AFAIR we both like DS9...

We both love it AFAIK. :)

I'm not saying you can't not like ENT (AAaaaaaaah - double negative black hole!!) btw - just that it might be slightly less bad. ;)

Yeah, DS9 is great. But I can't write it, for whatever weird reason *mumble* Ok, maybe I should read more DS9 fic for inspiration. But I think I've already read all available Sisko/Bashir *drool* :) I am such a sucker for Sisko and Dax.

The first twenty eps of ENT we've seen at one weekend, and found them acceptable for the most part. But later it detoriated IMO. I had some later ones on my computer, and just couldn't watch them through. So yeah, I find it bad nowadays. And stick to that. But thanks to some very good ENT writers, I like the fic nonetheless. Hope you're satified with that *LOL*

You know it's odd... The only ENT pairing I am really into is Trip/T'Paul, or possibly Archer/T'Paul, but I never read those fics! I realized as I was about to vote for the GO's that I'd only read slash and femmeslash. Go figure! :)

Well, it's probably not the most complicated thing in the world. When watching the show, I ship for A/T'P and T/T'P. But the stories about those pairings never really "grab" me. However, the slash I've read almost without exception been really well written and beliveable. So maybe that's it.
