May. 23rd, 2007 10:08 pmA citation I will paint on the head of my bed in BIG letters :P
Fake it 'til you make it.
(source, which also happens to be a great article about "Wally Wood's 22 Panels That Always Work")
(And a link to 16 panels that don't work all that well...)

My left arm should bear: "Good is good but done is better"

Date: 2007-05-23 10:42 pm (UTC)Seriously, though, I love the article and the comic, and I might be able to get some inspiration from them. I'm a big fan of good webcomics, but my own webcomic, shall we say, focuses a lot more on the words than the art. Practically all the drawings are copied and pasted from strip to strip, and it's quite common for a strip to consist of the same picture every panel, with only the talking bubbles changed. It's not that I can't put more work into it, it's just that I don't have the motivation to devote that much time to a comic when there are so many other important things to do. Basically, I'm lazy. So I'll probably never get up there with the greatest webcomic artists of all time, but hey, it's an amusing pastime.
(I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that my own most commonly pasted panel is the "two people talking with mouths tightly shut" one from the 16 Panels that Don't Work Well. Maybe I do need to learn from Wally Wood.)

I'm not following it on a regular base, but once in a while I drop by :) I think it already takes a lot of dedication to make it WEEKLY. Therefore I don't think you're really lazy...
